Two mild-intensity earthquakes jolt J&K’s Doda

Jammu: Tremors were felt on Monday morning when two mild-intensity earthquakes jolted the hilly Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The twin quakes were reported within a gap of five minutes.

As per officials, the first earthquake of 4.9 Magnitude was reported at 5:38 am with an Epicenter of 33.15°N / 75.68°E and depth: 10 km.

Meanwhile, at 5:43 am, a second earthquake of 3.6 Magnitude was reported having an epicenter of 33.15°N / 75.7°E and a depth of 8 km.

He said that the Udhampur, Jammu and Srinagar cities also felt mild tremors.

A senior official from Doda said that no injury or any damage was reported as of now because of earthquakes.
