The anti-hijab protest in the country of Iran is spreading like wildfire and has reached more than 35 cities of the country, and with this, expectations of a coup are rising. Amidst the anxieties of a coup, the top commanders of the Iranian army, Revolutionary Guards, have sent their family members to safe houses, away from the cantonment areas. In an oil company’s guest house in Tehran, these families are being provided with security 24×7, and as per sources, these families have been assured that if the protests continue or if a coup takes place, then they will safely be sent to the neighbouring country of Georgia.

In the meanwhile, President Raisi’s government is continuing with the use of force against the protestors in many cities. The number of people who have lost their lives has crossed 80 and more than 500 have been injured till now. More than 2000 have been arrested. Students across 15 universities, including that of Tehran, have announced the boycott of classes on their part and protests are continuing in the universities.

The Chief Justice of Iran, Mohseni Ejei, has confessed that the police force has weakened due to the protests which are being organized for two weeks now. In a viral video, Ejei can be heard telling someone over a phone call that the morale of the police has broken, and they are tired because of not getting any leaves, and they are not being able to control the protestors.
