Agniveer recruitment rally in Ayodhya from Wednesday

Ayodhya (UP): The 21 day long Army Recruitment Rally under Agnipath Scheme will start in Dogra Regimental Centre, Ayodhya from Wednesday.

The rally covers 13 districts under Army Recruiting Office, Amethi. These districts include Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Ayodhya, Basti, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Rae Bareilly, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar and Sultanpur.

A total of 1,05,137 youth from these Districts have registered for this Rally. The overall registration has been 30 per cent higher than the last rally held in 2019. Maximum candidates have registered for the Agniveer General Duty category, accounting for 81 per cent of the total registration.

The Agniveer Recruitment Rally in Ayodhya is being conducted category wise. Candidates for the Agniveer Technical Category is the first category to be screened on Wednesday. The rally has received an overwhelming support form the civil administration under District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, ADM City Salil Kumar Patel, SP City MK Singh and the local military authorities stationed in the Dogra Regimental Centre headed by Brig K Ranjeev Singh.

The final coordination conference was held on Tuesday at the rally site which was attended by all key nominated nodal officers from the civil and local military authorities. All arrangements for the candidates outside the Dogra Regimental Centre have been adequately provided by the civil administration to include lighting, necessary barricading, provision of drinking water, mobile toilets and buses for ferrying candidates. Adequate security and crowd control measures have been put in place by the police.

The Agnipath Scheme, while building a more youthful profile in the Army, will create the right balance of youth and experience with the aim of transforming the Indian Army into a modern, dynamic, technologically driven, Atmanirbhar and responsive Fighting Force. The Army Recruiting Office, Amethi conducting the Army Recruitment Rally is wholeheartedly determined and committed to achieve this aim by conducting this Rally in the most fair and transparent manner.
