Washington: US President Joe Biden will skip the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), which will take place from November 30-December 12 in Dubai, The New York Times reported on Monday, citing a White House official.

The reason for such a decision by the US president could be the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which has recently taken a lot of time from Biden, the report read, citing the official.

The newspaper added that leaders from about 200 countries, as well as Pope Francis, are expected to attend the summit.
