Biden’s intention of securing a majority ruined

The USA’s mid-term election proved to destroy the intentions of both Joe Biden and Donald Trump of taking part in the 2024 Presidential elections. With the defeat of Trump’s candidates, it has been proven that the people now want new faces to come up, which has also damaged Trump’s hyper-nationalism. In these elections, 10 Indian diasporas have won for the Legislative Assemblies, including a record 5 MPs for the House of Representatives.

In a cut throat competition for the Senate, the Democratic Party has bagged 48, while Trump’s Republican Party has won 49 seats, and 50 seats are needed for a majority. To control the Senate, the Republicans will need 2 Democratic seats. On the other hand, for the House of Representatives, the Republicans are 202 seats ahead, and the Democrats have won 186 seats. The majority is 218 seats. To control the house, Republicans need 13 competitive seats. As per experts, these results are not in the favour of Trump and his politics.

In the meanwhile, Biden’s agenda is drowning as well. The party has lost its traditional seats as well. And while Trump had claimed that they will emerge victorious, his candidates lost too.
