It has been found out through recent research that children who grow up with influential parents, are low on personality development. Such children live under the fame their parents yield. Something similar happens with children who have overly-ambitious parents as well. Florida psychologist, Amy Morin is of the opinion that all children are influenced by their parents, and celebrities’ children soon realize that they are being brought up for some specific purpose.

As a result, in order to gain more love and care, such children do not reveal their peculiar behaviours in front of their parents. Psychologist Alex Leif says that mostly, such children tend to start believing that do not have their own distinct personality, and they are always scared of not being able to meet the expectations of their overly-ambitious parents. She also opines that such children are burdened under their parents’ personalities and expectations, and face more problems in the future.

In a 2021 survey conducted by the organization Job List, it was found out that 65% of the people had chosen the career their parents wanted them to go for. In order to break out of the shadow of their parents, children, many a times, break the scale which their parents believe to be success. They try to search for their own personality.

Such parents are required to increase conversations with their children so that the children could enhance their personalities, pressurizing children should be avoided at all costs.
