From seven to 300: Goa surges in positive COVID-19 cases

Panjim: Goa has touched a total of 300 positive COVID-19 cases today from being at seven for a long period of time.

Green Zone of Goa now has 235 active cases while 65 cases have recovered from the COVID-19 infection. Today, Goa reported 33 positive COVID-19 cases. This was confirmed by Goa Health Secretary Nila Mohanan.

The spike in COVID-19 cases has been on account of the community transmission at Mangor Hill in Vasco. Also travellers infected with COVID-19 arriving into Goa by air, road and rail have added to surge in the number of cases.
