Gunfight rages in Anantnag

Srinagar: A gun fight raged between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.

Police said the battle erupted at Semthan Bijbehara during a cordon and search operation.

“As the forces cordoned the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering a gun fight”, a security official said.
