India surges ahead of Italy in positive COVID-19 cases globally

New Delhi: Positive COVID-19 cases continued its northward climb surpassing Italy to reach the number sixth spot of nations with the most number of positive COVID-19 cases.

The World-O-Meter and COVID India Tracker data reported that India touched 2,35,544 cases. 6637 are the number of deaths reported due to COVID-19 in India.

The number of active cases in India is 1,16,323, while the country is reportedly showing a phenomenal recovery rate when compared to other countries across the world. So far around 1,12,700 patients have recovered.

Maharashtra is a state that has reported the most number of positive COVID-19 cases in India with 80,229 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 28,694 and Delhi with 26,334.
