Jammu Div Comm flags off batch of Mata Kheer Bhawani devotes to Kashmir

Jammu: The Jammu Divisional Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar on Friday flagged off a batch of 4500 members of Kashmiri Pandit community for annual Kheer Bhawani mela in Kashmir here from Nagrota area.

The annual Mela is to be celebrated on Zeisht Ashtami falling on May 28 at the shrines of Tulmulla in Ganderbal district of Kashmir.

Meanwhile tight security and relief arrangements are made for the devotees left for the Valley.

“All necessary arrangements are made for smooth and successful conduct of the travel for the devotees and the pilgrimage to the shrines,” said the Divisional Commissioner.
