If parents talk to their young children lovingly, they will start speaking early, their pronunciation will improve, reading skills will enhance, vocabulary will expand and their IQ will increase. A recent study has revealed that the children who are talked to a lot lovingly, till the ages of 1.5 to 2 years, have sharper minds, and their reading skills are better. But it is important to make sure that such conversations are taken care of at home before the children joining schools.

It is crucial that at home, a child is raised in a specific manner which involves giving him the knowledge of the alphabet along with inculcating a speaking habit. According to Dana Suskind, Pediatric Surgeon, parents are the first teachers of kids. As per research, a child’s brain develops quite a lot till he turns 2, and he is able to understand his surroundings. It has been determined that by the time a child turns 6, both his family and the school are equally responsible for his mental development.

It is important to note that there are certain steps which are needed to be taken in order to make sure that the newer generations are smarter. For instance, parents can be offered paid-parental leaves for a significant amount of time after the birth of their child, tax subsidies can be provided to families of young children so that they are encouraged to spend more on their child’s education, learning and well-being. Governments can also take steps to ensure better educational facilities for young children at their homes only. Parents can also be trained for raising their kids better.
