Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha unfurled the National Flag at the UT-level Republic Day function held at MA Stadium, marking the 77th Republic Day celebrations. The Lieutenant Governor inspected the parade contingents and took the ceremonial salute.

The march-past featured disciplined contingents from the Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, IRP (Women & Men), J&K Police, JKAP, UT Disaster Response Force, J&K Fire and Emergency Services, J&K Forest Protection Force, Excise & Taxation Department, Ex-Servicemen, NCC (Boys & Girls), Bharat Scouts and Guides (Girls & Boys), along with several school contingents. Brass and Pipe Bands of the Army, BSF, J&K Police, and school band troops added to the grandeur.

Vibrant tableaux showcased Jammu & Kashmir’s developmental and cultural spirit, highlighting themes such as Operation Sindoor, Mission Yuva, Road Safety, Nasha Mukt J&K, Shram ko Samman, Saral Kar, Sashakt Bharat, and Food Safety. The audience was enthralled by the Motorcycle Acrobatic display by the JKP’s Dare-Devils and a colourful cultural pageantry reflecting the UT’s rich heritage.

Earlier, the Lieutenant Governor visited the Police Martyrs Memorial and Balidan Stambh, laying wreaths to honour the bravehearts of the Police, Army, and CAPFs who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
