The Jaipur airport, which is already among the top 10 airports as far as gold smuggling is concerned, has now been found out to be a portal for the smuggling of girls as well. In the last 25 days, twice, 14 girls have been booked in the cases of human trafficking. As per sources, in the smuggling of 2 girls on 11th December, the role of an airline is suspicious, due to which the airline had also sacked one of its employees.

Following this, when, once again, the Jaipur police apprised the immigration department of 12 girls being smuggled to gulf countries, the girls were boarded rather than being stopped. After this, the suspicious women were restricted from travelling after the intervention of the Nepalese embassy. The girls were to travel on Friday morning on a flight at 9.15 AM. Despite all this taking place, the airport administration is not serious regarding the matter. On Friday, when the Jaipur police informed the airport administration of the smuggling, the immigration department refused to help, after which the girls were stopped with the direct contact made by the Nepalese embassy.

Following this, the girls were handed over to the police with the assistance of the CISF.

If any Nepalese national travels to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or Lebanon from any Indian airport, then they will have to show an NOC issued from Nepal. Despite this rule, the NOC is not being asked for at the Jaipur airport.
