Moscow: A possible agreement on natural resources between the United States and Ukraine has nothing to do with Russia, although Ukraine’s resources must be carefully assessed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
“This does not concern us. I am not assessing it at all and do not want to think about this. Of course, these resources need to be assessed, how real they are, how much of these resources there are, what they are like, how much they cost, and so on. But this, I repeat, is none of our business,” Putin told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin.
At the same time, Russia would be ready to offer US partners, private businesses, as well as governmental structures the opportunity to work together in the field of rare earth metals, the president added.
“Rare earth metals are very important resources for advanced economy sectors, and we are doing little in this direction. We must do more,” Putin said.
