Jaito: An official of the Firozpur Railway Division said that various farmer organisations will organise a ‘Rail Roko’ protest call on Monday.

Due to this protest, 163 trains will be cancelled, and 19 trains will be short terminated, 15 trains will be short originated, 15 trains will be delayed, and 09 trains will be stopped and run.

He said that the trains will be stopped at such places where the railway passengers do not have to face any inconvenience, and they get basic tea and water (food) facilities. To ensure that the railway passengers get information about the affected trains, help desks will be arranged at the stations, and continuous announcements will be made through the public address system.

All the supervisors and commercial inspectors will remain in their headquarters at the stations so that passengers can avail themselves of all the facilities.

For the information of the railway passengers, information about train cancellations, short-terminations, short-originated trains, and diverted trains is also being provided through messages.

Additional counters have been arranged at the main stations for the railway passengers to get refunds.
