Six IAS officers transferred in UP

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including four District Magistrates, an official spokesman said on Saturday.

In a late night move, the government removed Banda District Magistrate Anurag Patel and put him on the the waitlist. Badaun District Magistrate Deepa Ranjan has been appointed in his place. Kushinagar District Magistrate S Rajalingam has been transferred to Varanasi.

Hathras District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan has been named the District Magistrate of Kushinagar. Hapur-Pilkhuwa Development Authority Chairperson Archana Verma will be the District Magistrate of Hathras. Special Secretary (Higher Education) Manoj Kumar has been posted as the District Magistrate of Badaun
