Twin brothers win wrestling medals

Hamirpur (HP): Twin brothers Saumya and Sabhya won the gold and silver medals respectively in the Under-14 wrestling championship of Himachal Pradesh schools in Sirmaur.

In the 35 kg weight category, Saumya won the silver while Sabhya took the gold in the 48 kg category.

The father and mother of the children — Pavan Kumar and Nina Kumari — were the state champions in athletics during their college days. Both work in the Education Department as college teachers.

Soumya and Sabhya gave the credit for their victory to their parents, their sister and national athlete Divya Rajput, mentors and coaches Johnny Choudhary, Rinku Sharma and Deepak Pehalwan.
