4 militants arrested, hideout busted and destroyed in south Kashmir

Srinagar: Security forces destroyed a militant hideout and arrested four militant associates in Jammu and Kashmir’s Awantipora sub district, police said on Monday.

The militant associates were linked with terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, they said.

Police said the militant hideout was busted and destroyed at Hafoo Nageenpora forests of Awantipora by joint forces.

“Police alongwith security forces busted & destroyed terrorist hideout in Hafoo Nageenpora forests of Awantipora. 4 terrorist associates linked with terror outfit LeT arrested,” a police statement said.

“Incriminating materials & other items ( were) recovered.”

Police said a case has been registered and investigations are in progress.
