Modern technology has made it easy to work remotely for employees, and now, even if they are away from office, the employees keep on working. As per a recent report, around half the employees devote at least 1 hour of the day to their office work, even during holidays. Around 1/4th of the employees devotes 3 hours of the day to work. The question which arises at this point is whether it is good for their mental health.

Robert Waldinger, Director, Harvard Study of Adult Development, has said that it is crucial to get completely distanced from work during holidays for the good and health of the employee. It has also been found out in the survey that through remote-working, conversations with colleagues have increased as well, due to which productivity has also augmented. Nevertheless, people require such times of holidays, when they are not busy on calls. This time is the best for having rest and to rejuvenate.

Time Management Coach Elizabeth Saunders has suggested that before you sign out prior to going for your holidays, it is important to make sure that any ongoing work does not remain incomplete, and to finish it in time, you can take help of your colleagues, so that your holidays can be spent in a relaxed manner. You can make a list of the pending work for the same, and if you want more satisfaction, you can create checklists and ensure that no work is left to be completed.
