On 30th May, NCB summoned the domestic help of Sushant Singh Rajput who was also present at the time when SSR was murdered. This comes after NCB nabbed the absconding Siddharth Pithani who worked under SSR and was his flatmate. NCB summoned both Keshav Bachner and Neeraj Singh in the drug probe in connection with the SSR case which opened up a Pandora box through a WhatsApp chat that involved Rhea Chakraborty, Siddharth Pithani, Ayush, Anandi, and a few others. Many other WhatsApp chats and evidences are under NCB’s, ED’s, and CBI’s possession. It was CBI that handed over evidence against Pithani to NCB after analysing the dump data.
NCB told PTI, “We located the duo and brought them to the office for questioning. They are still at office”. According to reports from Republic Media Network, NCB will be questioning more people who were close to Sushant Singh Rajput. Both Keshav and Neeraj were reportedly trying to avoid NCB for the last eight months, they were located somewhere outside of Maharashtra. Both came back to Mumbai in August and are currently working at some of the entertainer’s houses. According to Neeraj’s uncle, Keshav was working at Sara Ali Khan’s house, in October 2020.

Both Neeraj and Keshav have been undergoing questioning since 30th May and were taken to NCB’s office in Ballard Estate, Mumbai while Pithani is still under arrest. Their names came up while NCB was questioning Pithani in which NCB found out that both were part of a larger drug supply chain. Reports also suggest that Keshav and Neeraj were taken to an undisclosed location by NCB officials and questioning went on till late at night.
Pithani has been charged with serious offenses including conspiracy to supply drugs to several people including certain ‘rich’ Bollywood entertainers. NCB had sent repeated summons to Pithani and was found to be escaping the summons and was arrested on 26th May from Hyderabad. Pithani was bought to Mumbai, after being presented in front of the court he was remanded for custody of 5 days (1st June). Pithani has claimed that he was the one who couldn’t find the key to SSR’s room and then called the locksmith. He also claimed that he saw Sushant’s body hanging from the fan and brought the body down and placed it on the bed. The fact is that no one has seen the body hanging instead the body was seen on the bed. There isn’t a shred of evidence that claims it is a case of suicide.
Experts from all across have rubbished the claim of Rajput’s death being a case of suicide/hanging. Facts state that in case of hanging the eyes and tongue of the person would come out and there wouldn’t be a mark like Sushant’s neck had rather he was strangulated to death. Neither does Pithani’s story add up at all. So far NCB has filed a charge sheet against 33 accused including Rhea Chakraborty and 35 arrests have been made in the drug probe.
Rajput’s Father, KK Singh’s lawyer Senior Advocate Vikas Singh in an interview said that Sidhath Pithani is an intelligent criminal and a very dubious man. He immediately changed his stand after the family filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty. From then Pithani’s behaviour also changed towards Sushant’s family and he acted very suspiciously. Pithani was also a part of Sushant’s dream team.
Advocate Vikas Singh while talking to Shivani Gupta on CNN-NEWS 18 clarified many things including how the family has nothing to do with the drug probe which is being investigated in connection with the SSR case as drugs were not the cause of his death. He also shared his inputs and expressed that the delay by CBI is definitely heartbreaking. He said “the CBI would not rush until they have the proof to back it up”. Advocate Vikas Singh also mentioned how CBI has its ways of breaking down a witness and they are only waiting for the ‘clincher’ now.
Indicating that CBI would know about it being a murder case and has all evidences and is only waiting probably for that one solid evidence that could get the culprits behind bars.
