All-out support to Lata Mangeshkar International Music College: Shinde

Mumbai: Maharashtra State chief minister Eknath Shinde assured that all necessary support will be given to Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar International Music College established in her memory.

Shinde was speaking in a function ‘Latanjali’ organised by BJP MLA Asish Shelar last night at Shanmukhananda Auditorium .

“The Mangeshkar family enriched the cultural world by serving music. Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar of this family means Supernatural Giving,” said Shinde.

On this occasion senior actress Asha Parekh, MP and actress Hema Malini, musician Shri.Pyarelal Sharma, Mrs. Sharma, Mr. Anandji, actress Mousumi Chatterjee, Reena Roy, Padmani Kolhapure, Kajol, Raveena Tandon, singer Suresh Wadkar, singer Sadhana Sargam, Bela Shende, Adinath Mangeshkar and People’s representatives and citizens were present.

Shinde further said that the Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar International Music College will enhance the reputation of Maharashtra.

Therefore, all necessary support will be given to this music college.

“Lata Mangeshkar’s voice crossed the geographical boundaries and permeated the emotions of the citizens. Her voice is heard in every home from small to old. Her contribution in the field of singing and music is invaluable. Budding singers and artists got inspiration from her,” said Mr Shinde.

The Chief Minister also said that a theater with a capacity of 1,000 seats is being constructed in the name of Lata Mangeshkar at Mira Bhayander and it will be inaugurated soon,he added.
