BJP Goa President, Sadanand Tanawade, met with party spokesperson, Savio Rodrigues, and representatives of the BJP Velim mandal, to discuss the party’s outreach plans to transform the Velim constituency with initiatives focused on healthcare, education, empowerment, enterprises, especially start-ups & MSME, and promotion of ecological sustainability to build its footprint in a largely Christian dominated constituency.

Commenting on the strategy meeting with the state president, Savio Rodrigues said, “Velim is a constituency that BJP is bullish on. We want to work with the people of the constituency towards transforming Velim to a model constituency. The Centre adopting Velim panchayat for ‘Model Village’ under the Prime Minister of India programme is the first step in this direction”.

“We discussed our plans to grow the party footprint in the Velim constituency. We shared the concerns and aspirations of the people of the constituency from the BJP government. We will be working towards strengthening the BJP karyakatas and creating a formidable team of sevaks to work for the people in Velim. We are grateful to the support assured by the party state president, revealed the BJP spokesperson.

Recently, the BJP Velim mandal inducted over 100 new members into the party.

“The party will be working on creating representatives across 45 booths and 62 wards in the constituency. Our aim is to bring the welfare schemes of the state and Centre to the people. We do not do politics of religion. We are concerned about the people of Velim, irrespective of religion and want to work for all of them who want to work with us to transform Velim”, expressed Rodrigues.
