BRS party fund increases to Rs 1,250 cr

Hyderabad: Bharat Rastra Samithi (BRS) Party fund has increased to Rs 1,250 crore as on Thursday.

Disclosing this at the BRS Formation day celebrations here yesterday, its Supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao said the party had deposited Rs 767 crore in the bank and earning Rs 7 crore as interest per month.

Expenses are being spent for running the party, construction of party offices in the districts, campaigning and infrastructure, the BRS Chief said.

On this occasion, a resolution was passed on the financial affairs of the party and the BRS President will take care of it.

Opening accounts in other states, setting up of media offices across the country for the party’s campaign are among the resolutions introduced and passed with a round of applause by the members.

The BRS office will be inaugurated in the National Capital on May 4.
