A medical businessman from Ajmer, Rajasthan, was looted of 73 lakhs in the name of buying a flat in Turkey. Two men were arrested by the police from Telangana’s Hyderabad. The businessman had selected a flat online, worth rupees 1.80 crores, and the deal was being handled by international property dealing company, Trem Global. The businessman was told that along with buying the flat, he will also receive the nationality of Turkey, after which he paid 60 lakh rupees each in two installments to the company.

Two youths from Hyderabad reached Ajmer to collect the third installment, and along with 60 lakhs, took 13 lakhs more in the name of the expenses for travelling, money transfer, and other purposes. The two then ran away with 73 lakh rupees, and switched their mobile phones off.

According to SHO Dalbir Singh, the culprits, residents of Hyderabad, Umar Ahmed Sayyid, and Siraj Pasha Mohammad have been arrested. In his complaint, the businessman, Naushad Ali, stated that he had contacted the representative of Trem Global, Umar Ahmed Sayyid, in order to buy the flat in Turkey. After which he deposited 1.20 crore rupees in two installments in the company’s bank account. Then, on 6th August, 2022, Umar Ahmad sent Siraj Pasha Muhammad and one other to Ajmer, saying that the third installment will be sent to the company by them, and asked Naushad to make the payment in cash.
