Commercial flight operation begins at Manohar Itnl Airport

Panaji: The commercial flight operations at Manohar International Airport began with landing of an IndiGo flight connecting Hyderabad to Goa on Thursday.

The flight took off from the Hyderabad Airport at 0740 hrs and landed at Mopa at 0840 hrs.

According to airport sources, a total of 11 flights are scheduled to land at the newly-inaugurated airport today.

The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month.

To prevent untoward incidents, Goa government has imposed Section 144 on the National Highway leading to Mopa Airport from last night.

However, international flight operations from the airport are yet to commence.
