Covid-19 : India logs 6,155 fresh cases, 11 more deaths

New Delhi: India recorded a single-day jump of 6,155 in Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, said the latest update by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday.

Addition of these fresh cases has taken the active caseload to 31,194.

The death toll has risen to 5,30,954 as 11 virus related deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours.

As many as 3,253 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease stands at 4.41 crore (4,41,89,111).

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.63 percent while the weekly positivity was pegged at 3.74 per cent.

The Ministry said, 1,963 vaccine doses of Covid were administered during the last 24 hours under the nationwide vaccination drive.

220.66 cr Total Vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.87 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive, said the Ministry.

Meanwhile, out of 92.26 cr Total Tests conducted so far; 1,09,378 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as per the Ministry data.
