Dr Ravi Pillai receives Medal of Efficiency from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain

Thiruvananthapuram: Dr. B. Ravi Pillai, founder and chairman of RP Group, has been awarded the prestigious Medal of Efficiency (First Class) by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

The award is in recognition of Ravi Pillai’s outstanding contributions to the kingdom, particularly in the fields of refinery operations, local community development, and the strengthening of Bahrain’s global position.

The Dubai-based Indian billionaire businessman is the only foreign businessman to receive this esteemed title from Bahrain.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude upon receiving the honour, Dr Ravi Pillai said, “This award is a reflection of the collective efforts of my team, the support of the people of Bahrain, and the unwavering trust of the kingdom. I dedicate this recognition to Bahrain and its people.”

“This award is also dedicated to my 155,000+ dearest employees and their families, whose hard work, dedication, and commitment have played a pivotal role in all our achievements, he said.

“Additionally, I dedicate this honour to all the Indians, especially the expats in the Gulf region, whose contributions have been instrumental in the growth and prosperity of this region,” he added.

“Happy National Day, Bahrain! this beautiful nation a day filled with pride, unity, and joy as we celebrate the rich history, culture, and bright future of the Kingdom. May the spirit of patriotism continue to inspire every Bahraini heart, and may the years ahead be filled with peace, prosperity, and success,” Ravi Pillai, hailing from Kollam in Kerala, said in a message on Tuesday.
