EAM, PM Jugnauth inaugurate first Jan Aushadi Kendra in Mauritius, India-assisted Mediclinic Project

Port Louis/New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday joined Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth in inaugurating the India-assisted new Mediclinic Project at Grand Bois in Mauritius and also in inauguration of the first overseas Jan Aushadi Kendra in the Indian Ocean island nation.

In posts on X, the EAM posted:

“Joined Prime Minister @KumarJugnauth in inaugurating the new Mediclinic Project at Grand Bois in Mauritius.

“PM @narendramodi has rightly termed the India-Mauritius relationship as “खून का रिश्ता”.

“Delivery of this project, which will provide healthcare services to more than 16,000 residents is the newest expression of our friendship.

“And of the people-centric development partnership that India-assisted projects offer.”

“Delighted to inaugurate along with Prime Minister @KumarJugnauth

the first overseas Jan Aushadi Kendra in Mauritius. This Aushadi Kendra is the delivery of the promise made by PM @narendramodi earlier this year.

“The India-Mauritius health partnership project will supply cost effective, Made-in-India medicines to augment public healthcare and enhance well being.”

He said that Mauritius is home away from home, and is delighted to witness a Bhojpuri geet at the welcoming ceremony of the Grand Bois Medi Clinic.
