Hamas has declared war on Israel. Hamas terrorists unleashed a well-coordinated and brutal terror attack on Israel.
The people of Israel were caught unaware. The much-touted Israel intelligence was caught unaware. The horrific videos and images circulating on social media are disturbing and depressing and expose the extent of barbarity Hamas can resort to, to unleash terror.
Soon, another terror organisation Hezbollah from Lebanon will join this war on Israel. Both Hamas and Hezbollah have been getting tacit encouragement from Iran and financial backing from Qatar.
This war on Israel is just the beginning of a long-drawn battle to bring Israel to rubble, humiliate its intelligence and military, and terrorize its people. I fear that there is more to come as we cannot discount the possibility of sleeper cells in Israel waiting to unleash the next round of terror strikes within Israel.
Hamas and Hezbollah are terror organizations. Their survival and relevance are linked to their successes in unleashing terror in the Arab world and the damage they can inflict on Israel. They are not working for the interest of the people of Palestine or Lebanon, Hamas and Hezbollah work to protect their own selfish interests and to propagate terror. While the people of Palestine and Lebanon struggle with basic tenets of socio-economic progress, leaders and some members of these terror organizations are rich and living a life of opulence having sprawling properties outside of Palestine or Lebanon.
Hamas and Hezbollah are only attacking Israel to stay relevant in the Arab world. And also to show the rest of the Arab nations that Israel is a weak nation and its much-touted intelligence and military can be rattled by a bunch of ragtag barbarians driven by a sadistic idealogy of Islamic radicalism.
Hamas is openly displaying their brute forces and inhumane attack on innocent Israelis and their soldiers, especially the women, to humiliate the Israeli government and to cock a snook at the Mossad. By displaying videos and photographs of violating Israeli women, stripping them, and parading them naked, they want to terrorize and instill fear in the people of Israel. They want to crush the confidence the people of Israel have in their intelligence and defense forces.
Hamas and Hezbollah will be working on the orders of Iran and Qatar. Israel post the signing of the Abraham Accords with some Arab nations in particular Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates was working towards peaceful resolution to conflicts with Arab nations while protecting their nation’s integrity. In fact, Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Mohammad Bin Salman has been assertively working to ensure peace prevails in the Arab world in order for Arab nations to move towards a period of socioeconomic prosperity and peaceful coexistence.
Hamas and Hezbollah will become irrelevant if Israel and other Arab nations walk this path of peaceful coexistence. Palestine and Lebanon will be forced to work with Israel and other Arab nations to reach the collective objective of this peace accord and if they fail to toe the line, they will become irrelevant and insignificant in the long run in the Arab world. Iran, on the other hand, will not allow for the hegemony of Saudi Arabia in the Arab world and neither will Qatar, who sees Saudi Arabia and the UAE as stumbling blocks to its control over the Middle East, which explains their tacit support and encouragement of the terror attacks on Israel by Hamas. Arab nations who are products of Islamic radicalism will never want a peaceful coexistence in the Arab world.
The growing closeness of Israel and Saudi Arabia, and Israel and the UAE was rattling terror groups because Hamas, Hezbollah, and ISIS know that for peace to prevail, these nations will have to exterminate all terror threats in the Arab world and destroy all terror organizations systematically and systemically. It was the end of days for Hamas and Hezbollah. The writing was on the wall. The attack by Hamas on Israel is a reflection of that desperation to stay alive and keep terrorism in this region alive and people scared.
The attack by Hamas on Israel was not a flash in the pan but a well-orchestrated and synchronized plan. Disappointingly, Israel’s intelligence failed to see this terror attack coming and gauge the brutality that Hamas would unleash. That was Hamas’s intent. To hit at the pride of Israel. The much-touted Iron Dome could not save the people of Israel from the over 2200 rockets that were launched on Israel. Hamas terrorists drove into parts of Israel, unleashed terror, and even took Israeli hostages with them. Hamas terrorists even gate-crashed a rave party in Israel flying in with motorised gliders and unleashing terror and kidnapping mostly Israeli women.
The message Hamas is sending to the people of Israel especially if you see it from the often-seen behavior of Islamic terrorists that is derived from their Islamic radicalism idealogy, is that the men of Israel cannot even protect their own women and their children, then they are not a nation to fear; that is why they are intentionally releasing videos, and images of the brutality against the Israeli women and children. History has shown us that Islamic radicals have no respect for women, brutally raping them, and parading them naked is a war strategy to demean the confidence of the men of a nation they are at war with.
Hamas has attacked Israel. Hamas will pay the price – is the line taken by the Israeli government. And there is no doubt that Hamas will pay the price. Israel is in a state of war. It not only has to defend itself from further attacks but also destroy Hamas because the terror attack on Israel cannot be forgiven and will happen again if Hamas is not eliminated. I fear that peace in the Arab world will continue to be a distant dream until collectively the Arab nations eradicate terrorism and home-grown terror organizations. People who live, breathe, and thrive on Islamic radicalism and take the path of Islamic terrorism are not progressive but regressive. Every Arab nation living in the hell of Islamic radicalism today would have once been a socio-economic progressive nation but it has now turned into a shithole. Islamic radicalism teaches its members to live in the dark ages and continue to live as barbarians riding on camels and using women just like cattle for only two purposes – sexual gratification and giving birth to children who can be indoctrinated into the hate of the ‘Kafirs’.
Israel will prevail. It has too. It must send out a stern message that terrorism against Israel will not be forgiven or forgotten. Palestine will pay the price for harboring terrorists. Nations that support Hamas and Hezbollah will pay also the price for this war against Israel in the weeks ahead. This war is going to redefine the geopolitics in the Arab region.
