Chandigarh: Two officials of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) were arrested on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from a private school official, the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said on Tuesday.

Enforcement Officer Mukesh Khandelwal and Assistant Commissioner of PF Nilanjan Gupta allegedly demanded the bribe in exchange for settling a complaint related to Provident Fund (PF) issues at a school.

The ACB team caught Khandelwal red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 2 lakh from a complainant who represented the school.

After verifying the details of the complaint, the ACB team laid a trap and arrested Khandelwal and Gupta.
