HC acquits all 12 convicts in Mumbai 7/11 local train blast case

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court today acquitted all 12 people convicted by a lower court in the Mumbai 7/11 local train blast case.

In 2015, a trial court had convicted these 12 accused, sentencing five of them to death and the others to life imprisonment.

The blast occured on Nov 7, 2006, killing 189 people and leaving 800 others injured.

The court has deliver its verdict 19 years after the incident.
