Heavy rain likely in Telangana in next 5 days: Met

Hyderabad: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said here on Sunday.

In a bulletin here, it said thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in few districts of the state during the same period.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places or most places in Telangana during the next five days.

Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Vikarabad and Kumaram Bheem districts of the state during the last 24 hours.

Southwest Monsoon has been normal over Telangana during the same period.

Rain occurred at a few places over the state during the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.

In a special weather bulletin, Met said a north-south trough runs from southeast Madhya Pradesh to Comorin area across Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
