Indian delegation expresses gratitude to Japanese leadership for steadfast support in countering terrorism

Tokyo: India’s all party outreach mission here on Friday called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Fukushiro Nukaga, and conveyed New Delhi’s gratitude for their steadfast support across decades.

The delegation also iterated India’s shared commitment to advancing peace, stability and democratic values in an increasingly fractured world.

” We called on Mr Fukushiro Nukaga, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan and on behalf of our nation, we conveyed India’s gratitude for Japan’s steadfast support across decades, and reiterated our shared commitment to advancing peace, stability and democratic values* in an increasingly fractured world,” TMC MP Abhishekh Banerjee said after the meeting.

He said on Day 2 in Tokyo, the delegation’s schedule was marked by moments of deep personal reflection and purposeful diplomatic engagement.

In a significant step towards deepening Indo–Japanese Parliamentary relations, the Indian delegation also met Yasutoshi Nishimura, Chairman of the Japan–India Parliamentary Friendship League.

” We exchanged views on strengthening cooperation through democratic dialogue and institutional exchange,” Banerjee said.

The Indian delegation concluded the day with a media interaction, underlining India’s strong and collective resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms
