IRCTC to run Bharat Gaurav ‘Panch Jyotirling Yatra’ from Nov 21

Thiruvananthapuram: IRCTC (Southern Zone) will operate a Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train on the theme “Panch Jyotirling Yatra” from November 21 to December 1, 2025, offering an eleven-day spiritual and heritage tour across Western India.

The special tourist circuit train (Tour No. SZBG24) will commence its journey from Tirunelveli, with boarding facilities at Nagercoil Town, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam Junction, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur and Mangaluru.

The itinerary includes visits to the revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Nageshwar, Somnath, Bhimashankar, Trimbakeshwar and Grishneshwar, along with the world-famous Ellora Caves, offering pilgrims a rare combination of spiritual fulfilment and cultural exploration.

The Bharat Gaurav train will consist of fourteen coaches, including one AC 2-Tier, six AC 3-Tier, four Sleeper Class and one Pantry Car, ensuring safe and comfortable travel. The package includes the train journey in the chosen class, hotel accommodation or fresh-up facilities at destinations, road transfers, South Indian vegetarian meals both onboard and offboard, packaged drinking water, the services of a professional tour escort, onboard security and travel insurance.

The tour cost has been fixed at ₹19,770 for Sleeper Class, ₹31,930 for 3AC and ₹42,010 for 2AC. Government and PSU employees will also be eligible to avail themselves of the LTC facility.

The Bharat Gaurav train scheme was introduced by Indian Railways to promote theme-based tourism and to showcase the country’s cultural, spiritual and historical heritage to both domestic and international travellers.
