This time, the Israeli coalition government of Benjamin Netanyahu is dependent on the support of many radical groups, and the division of the ministries has been done keeping in mind as to how the Jewish ideologies can be turned more radical. The responsibility of the major ministries has been given to people who are radical and are far away from modernization.
This government has also developed a new ministry called the National Missions Ministry, which will keep a check on the fact that across pre-primary classes, pro-Jewish history is taught, and nothing against the Jews is taught. Earlier, the syllabus of the pre-primary sections was decided upon by the Education Ministry. The responsibility of dealing with anti-Jew movements has also been given to the National Missions Minister.
Those who are opposing of the ministry are of the opinion that this is a ‘Jewish Ministry’. The National Missions Ministry is being led by far-right politician Orit Strook. Similarly, the Ministry of Heritage is being led by right leaning politician Amihai Eliyahu. Non-Jews are of the opinion that being in the ministry, Eliyahu will attempt to subvert history, and he can also create a threat to the historical structures which are related with non-Jews.
