Jammu: Two army soldiers sustained injuries in a fresh encounter that broke out early morning on Thursday in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said that the terrorists attacked in the army area at around 2 am, which was retaliatory, and the encounter started.
“Exchange of bullets triggered a gunfight while intermittent firing is on from both sides,” they said, adding that two army personnel have been reportedly injured in the firing and have been hospitalised.
Earlier on Wednesday, security forces exchanged fire with terrorists in the Desa forest area of Doda district.
The Village Defence Guards (VDGs) also opened fire on observing a suspicious movement outside their village in Kalaan Bhata and near Panchan Bhata.
On Monday, four army personnel, including one captain, were killed in an ambush laid by the terrorists in the Desa area of Doda.
