Jammu: First Batch of Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims Flagged Off by J&K LG Manoj Sinha
Jammu, July 28 Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today flagged off the first batch of pilgrims for the annual Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp.
Wishing the devotees a safe and spiritually enriching journey, LG Sinha said, “The sacred journey to the abode of Mahadev is an enlightening experience. I truly believe this pilgrimage is a form of divine alchemy that unveils the secrets of life before the devotees.”
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the meticulous work done by Baba Amarnath and Buddha Amarnath Yatri Nyas, tourism department, district administration, other stakeholders and organisations serving langar.
“All necessary arrangements have been put in place for both the annual yatra and the Budha Amarnath Ji Mela, the accompanying festival,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
Speaking to media after the flag-off, LG Sinha said, “In the first batch, more than 1000 pilgrims from across the country set off for the holy yatra of Shri Budha Amarnath Ji.”
Moreover, he said that approximately 3.77 lakh pilgrims have performed darshan at holy cave of Shri Amarnath ji till yesterday.
“I hope that pilgrims from across the country will also arrive to pay their obeisance at Shri Budha Amarnath and pray to Bholenath for the peace and progress of J&K and the nation,” he said.
Eminent spiritual leaders, heads of religious organizations, public representatives, senior officials from civil administration, police, security forces, notable citizens, and a significant number of devotees attended the Flag-off ceremony.
