New Delhi: The Delhi BJP on Wednesday escalated its attack on AAP and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the alleged liquor scam case.

Holding a protest at various locations including ITO, the party said Kejriwal has no right to be the Chief Minister of Delhi as he is the “kingpin” of the liquor scam in Delhi.

“His three ministers were trained on corruption charges on this ground he must resign immediately” said the party.

The BJP held the protest a day after Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain resigned from the Delhi Cabinet after facing arrest in different corruption cases.

Calling Kejriwal the “mastermind” of liquor scams, Delhi BJP’s working president Virendra Sachdeva said,” in the last eight years, several ministers in the AAP government have resigned, most of them on “corruption charges”.

“Kejriwal should resign on moral grounds, he said.

He said, “if according to Kejriwal, his ministers were “innocent”, why did the Supreme Court not give them any relief and their resignations were accepted.

Delhi BJP in charge Baijayant Panda and senior party’s leaders were also present in the protest.

Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday over alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of liquor policy for 2021-22.

Jain is currently in Tihar Jail in a money laundering case.
