The second edition of ‘Lit Tales’, which is India’s first immersive literature and cultural carnival for children, has been announced by the Verandah Club, in association with Prakriya International School, Coimbatore. Building on the resounding success of its inaugural event in 2024, Lit Tales 2025 is set to be even bigger and better, with an expected attendance of over 2,000 students and diverse programs featuring 21 storytellers with more than 40 engaging sessions.

In its inaugural edition in 2024, Lit Tales brought together over 400 students from grades 6 to 12, representing more than 10 schools, featuring 10 sessions over two days. Students engaged in thought-provoking discussions on storytelling, character development, creative thinking, and the importance of staying rooted in one’s heritage.

Themed ‘Imagine, Immerse, Illuminate’, Lit Tales 2025 at Prakriya International School Campus will be a vibrant carnival of learning and creativity on January 24th and 25th, 2025. This unique format, the first of its kind in India, will offer students an engaging experience with sessions happening simultaneously in different areas across the venue.

The festival offers an exciting array of sessions covering diverse topics. History enthusiasts can participate in cultural immersion programs and heritage learning. Aspiring leaders can gain valuable insights through leadership lessons, while budding writers can hone their skills in writing workshops. Bookworms can indulge in book readings and film screening sessions by Prachyam, and those seeking creative expression can explore art therapy or try their hand at live HAM radio demonstrations.

Shutterbugs can also participate in photography workshops to enhance their skills while everyone can enjoy a bit at Indie Merchandise from Agami and food stalls and ice cream counters for a gastronomical experience.

Lit Tales 2025 boasts an impressive lineup of speakers well guided by best-selling author Sai Swaroopa Iyer. Students can experience some brilliant storytellers such as Abhinav Kadambi, Aishwarya Rao, Arjun Bharadwaj, Br. Gurupriya Chaitanya, Dharanendra Momaya, Dinesh Godke, Gaurav Tiwari, Hari & Namrata, Jijith Nadumuri Ravi, Nandini Sengupta, Pradeep Chakravarthy, Prakash Belawadi, Sai Swaroopa Iyer, Shakkeela Manoj, Shefali Vaidya, Siddharth Srinivasan, Swaroop Sampat Rawal, S Vijaya Kumar, Vaishnavi Gurusankar, and Vigneshwaran G.

Kanagasabapathy, and Director Shefali Vaidya is dedicated to promoting Indian culture and literature through various initiatives. These include the Western Ghats Literature Festival for English, the Kongu Tamil Sangamam for Tamil, the Spotlite, frequent Filter Coffee Sessions, and Book launches. Lit Tales, their flagship event for children, aims to instill a love for learning and an appreciation for India’s rich heritage.

The event will also feature an extensive book stall by Subbu Books, offering students a wide variety of books to explore and purchase. Children will also have the opportunity to interact, discuss and get their books signed by the authors present at the festival. It is noteworthy that the school’s partnership with The Verandah Club has created a positive synergy to make this event possible. It has been instrumental in creating an enriching and inspiring experience for all students and providing an environment for young minds to flourish. Registration is being done through schools.
