Nagpur: The Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) has decided to go on strike from January 2, 2023, to press for its various demands, a press release issued by MARD said here.

MARD delegation recently met Medical Education Minister Girish Mahajan and placed their various demands including of filling vacant posts and clearing pending dues.

However, MARD did not get any assurance nor did the government take any concrete step and hence calling the Shinde-Fadnavis government as insensitive, the organization has decided to launch strike from January 2.

On one hand, the Central and State government has issued new guidelines in the wake of possible outbreak of coronavirus and on the other one , the outfit has announced its strike, is inexplicable.

“We are aware of danger of coronavirus but the government is compeling us to go on strike. We will keep fighting till our demands are not met. The present government will be responsible if patient services collapsed “, MARD stated in its release.
