Modi led govt strengthens faith of people in the system: Gajendra Shekhawat

New Delhi: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has strengthened the faith of the people in the system and governance of the nation.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here, the Union Minister said, “Despite global headwinds, India’s progress has remained intact and it has been the world’s fastest growing major economy”.

Highlighting the development work done by the BJP government in the last 9 years, he said: “Today, India stands first in Global Fintech and has become the third largest Startup ecosystem in the world…adding around 1 lakh Startups with 100 Startups in the Unicorn club”.

“Not only this, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India’s stature has risen on the global stage” he said.

Shekhawat said the major driving forces of the government in the last nine years are service, good governance, welfare of the poor, innovation and strong will.

“Along with this, is the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption, terrorism and anti-India forces, (and) the government worked with this holistic approach” he said.

Calling the last mile delivery as the success of the government, Shekhawat said, “In these 9 years…work was done to ensure that benefits of the schemes reach the last person and all sections without any discrimination”.
