Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has stated that his just-concluded visit to Dubai and Spain will open new avenues of development in the state. Investors from both countries have shown great enthusiasm for investing in the state. As a result of this visit, Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth over Rs 11,000 crore.
The CM said during his previous visits to countries such as Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom, significant investment proposals were also received for the state. Continuous domestic and international investments are helping realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.
Upon his return from the foreign tour, the Chief Minister addressed the media here and shared the outcomes of the visit. He said investment proposals worth Rs 11,119 cr were secured during the Dubai and Spain tours, which are expected to generate employment for more than 14,000 people.
Yadav emphasised that transforming the lives of the poorest is essential, and PM Modi was making tireless efforts towards this goal. “The state government is committed to inclusive development — empowering the poor, youth, women and farmers — while preserving heritage and accelerating progress. He urged all citizens to remain committed to advancing Madhya Pradesh,” he said.
The Chief Minister noted the Prime Minister’s seven visits to Dubai during his 11-year tenure to foster bilateral trade and industrial partnerships. Yadav, calling Dubai a “mini-world,” said he is following in the Prime Minister’s footsteps to promote the Vyapar Aur Udyog Varsh 2025 and attract investments from across the globe. He added that the Dubai and Spain tour played a vital role in this effort and was designed to support Modi’s vision of a developed India.
Yadav said the past two decades have been a period of transformation in Madhya Pradesh. He credited former chief ministers Uma Bharti, late Babulal Gaur and Shivraj Singh Chouhan for laying the foundation of the state’s progress. He emphasised that governance became meaningful for citizens during these years.
The Chief Minister asserted that after Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh is the most committed state to realising Modi’s dream of a developed India. Citing examples, he said Modi completed the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat and approved inter-state river-linking projects for Madhya Pradesh — moves that will significantly accelerate the pace of development in the state.
Yadav shared that the Centre has declared this year as the India-Spain Cultural Cooperation Year, making his visit to Spain particularly significant. As part of this collaboration, cultural and performing arts programmes featuring Spanish artists will be organised in Madhya Pradesh throughout the year.
The Chief Minister elaborated on the various investment proposals received during the Dubai and Spain tour. He noted that sustained efforts are being made to boost investment in Madhya Pradesh through divisional-level industrial conclaves, the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal and earlier international visits to the UK, Germany and Japan. He also mentioned that sector-wise meetings and seminars were held in cities such as Kolkata, Coimbatore, Surat and Ludhiana to attract investment and facilitate the establishment of new industrial units in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav announced that under the Ladli Behna Yojana, a special Raksha Bandhan gift will be given to women beneficiaries. In addition to the monthly Rs 1,250 already being provided, an extra Rs 250 shall be transferred as a festive bonus, ensuring that Rs 1,500 is deposited into their accounts before August 9.
