Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that in the 1960s, Biju Babu had taken a progressive decision to establish Paradip Port, which had become a milestone in the development of Odisha.
And now Paradip has emerged as the major investment destination in the country, he said, adding that the development has now become the identity of Odisha.
Patnaik thanked the people of Paradip and Jagatsinghpur for their support in the development of industries in the region and said all families in the region will benefit from the establishment of these projects.
JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal said long ago that Biju Babu had planned the establishment of a steel plant in Paradip, which was made possible by his son Naveen Patnaik.
He said JSW will cooperate in the economic growth of Odisha as the state is a major investment destination for the company.
