Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday that action will be taken against officials who dilly-dally in solving the problems of the public and directed them to reach their offices on time to hear the issues of people and to solve them on a priority basis.
During Janata Darshan at his official residence, the CM heard the grievances of more than a hundred people and issued directives for timely resolution.
Majority of the cases received by the CM at Janata Darshan were related to illegal occupation of property, mutual property disputes, other disputes and financial assistance for treatment. He assured all the people seeking financial assistance that the government had no shortage of money for treatment and that lack of money would not be a hindrance in the treatment of any resident and the needy of the state.
Handing over their applications to the officials, Yogi directed that the estimation process of the cost of treatment should be completed as soon as possible and made available to the government. He also directed the officials to resolve matters related to revenue and police with complete transparency and fairness.
He said, “Injustice should not be done to anyone. Every victim should be treated sensitively.”
The CM directed Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra to take special care of the timings of public meetings in all departments, stressing that the presence of officers should be ensured in offices and if for some reason, the officer is not available, they should hand over the responsibility to their subordinates.
The CM asked Director General of Police (DGP) Vijay Kumar to avoid delays in cases related to police administration and dispose of them in a time-bound manner. “These cases should be disposed of at the police station level to strengthen the confidence of the public in the police,” he said.
Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, DGP Vijay Kumar and Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad were present on the occasion.
