Among all these well deserving people, there was Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar from the Bollywood fraternity who received Padma awards. Netizens however were not happy about the decision, people felt that are far more deserving people under the ‘ART’ category who could have been awarded. Ekta Kapoor is known to make daily soaps and gradually launched ALT Balaji, where she was basically selling soft porn, while Karan Johar is known for promoting nepotism in the industry. Many people pointed out that the content shown by Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar is in bad taste, and always portrays Hindus in a bad light.
