Srinagar: Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir’s Kupwara and Jammu’s Poonch sectors for the fourth consecutive night, the Army said.

The Indian Army said that they responded swiftly and effectively to the firing.

“During the night of 27-28 April 2025, Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across LoC in areas opposite Kupwara & Poonch districts. Indian troops responded swiftly and effectively, ” Army said.

Ever since the Pahalgam terror attack, the Pakistan Army has violated the ceasefire agreement across the LoC in Kashmir for the last four days, but Sunday night was the first time that violations took place in the Poonch sector.
