Mohankheda (MP): In a vitriolic assault on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged on Thursday that he “possesses no courage as he does not accomplish any work.”

Addressing a Jan Aakrosh rally at this Jain pilgrimage destination of election-bound Madhya Pradesh, she said, “The rather unique relationship that exists between any leader and the populace is maintained only if the former takes care by toiling. The present situation is different as some have converted politicians into gods! If an individual writes against the powers that be then his or her residence is raided. Even cine personalities have not been spared.”

Alleging that the BJP’s arrogance has peaked and looting is rampant, Priyanka added that the country’s assets are being sold off to the Prime Minister’s friends including tycoon Gautam Adani whose loans amounting to thousands of crores are waived.

“Small businesses were decimated by GST and demonetisation. Every ‘achievement’ is happening in advertisements but not at the ground level. With considerable cunning, your emotions are exploited during polls. This is nothing except a way to misguide you. False promises are made by the BJP which is playing a political game,” she added.
