Quake: Mild tremor hit Sangli, Satara districts

Kolhapur: A slight tremor occurred for a few seconds in the district and adjoining areas, including some parts of neighbouring Sangli and Satara districts, at 06.45 hours early Wednesday morning.

According to information, a slight earthquake occurred in the early morning with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale, which hit the district and parts of Sangli and Satara districts.

The central point of the earthquake was registered 20 km from Koyana irrigation dam in Satara district, with a depth of 5 km below the ground.

However, there were no reports of any casualties or property damage in the areas.
