Thiruvananthapuram: Construction projects worth Rs 5,000 crore have been implemented in Kerala’s education sector since the Left Government came to power, State General Education Minister V. Sivankutty said.

Major investments have been made to improve public school infrastructure, including the construction of smart schools and classrooms, renovation of existing buildings, and implementation of other upgrades aimed at reversing declining enrollment, the Minister stated.

So far, modern classrooms equipped with advanced facilities have been established in 45,000 schools. Facilities for learning about artificial intelligence have been introduced, and teachers have received training at the district level.

Textbooks for classes 1 to 10 have been updated in a timely manner. The Minister also noted that students are being empowered to excel in both arts and sports.
