Mumbai: South Indian film director Maruthi has revealed that veteran actor Sanjay Dutt was profoundly moved by the storyline of ‘The Raja Saab’, the upcoming pan-India horror-fantasy film starring Prabhas in the lead.

The teaser of ‘The Raja Saab’ has been unveiled recently to resounding acclaim, igniting widespread anticipation and elevating the film to one of the most talked-about titles in Indian cinema. Far from being a conventional horror outing, the film blends eerie thrills with intimate emotional storytelling.

Maruthi said, “This is a completely different world. Such a concept has never come in Indian cinema before. That’s why we have written at the end of the teaser, ‘Indian cinema’s biggest horror-fantasy experience till date!’ This story is actually an emotional journey of a grandson, grandfather and grandmother. Sanjay Dutt sir also liked it very much, he enjoyed it a lot.”

Backed by People Media Factory and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, ‘The Raja Saab’ is set to release on December 5, 2025, in five languages ​​- Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The music of the film is scored by Thaman S. This pan-India film boasts of an ensemble cast featuring Prabhas alongside Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agarwal and Ridhi Kumar.
